Cut underfloor heating cables fixed with 50mm bonded coloured topping

After completing the slab for an Auckland House extension, the concrete cutter accidentally through the cables for the underfloor heating - doh!

Developer Ben Snelling overcame the problem in conjunction with Dean Lawson of Custom Concrete to re-pour the coloured slab using a bonded topping - problem solved and the result is spectacular.

Peter Fell colour 673 was used to give the subtle tones that suited the interior design.

Bonded toppings require a wet-on-wet epoxy bonding agent such as Sikadur32, and an aggregate with a max aggregate stone size of a third to a quarter of the slab thickness.
