Waterbank Crescent Skatepark and BMX Track

As part of the Waterview Connection project, a number of community projects were agreed which have added much loved new facilities to the local communities.

The design of the park is based around a figure of eight pattern which allows skaters to use areas both individually or as a continuous loop of skating. The design brief included a requirement for artistic elements to break up the mass of grey concrete, hence the coloured concrete choices.

The new Waterview Skatepark has been especially well received due to its large size, wondrous features and great variety - "Sick" as the skaters

Design by Boffa Miskell as part of the The Well-Connected Alliance comprising the NZ Transport Agency, Fletcher Construction, McConnell Dowell Constructors, Parsons Brinkerhoff, Beca Infrastructure, Tonkin & Taylor and Obayashi Corporation. Construction by TIMCO
