White Cement + White pebbles + White sand = Amazing White Concrete Driveway

Bridgeman Concrete developed a very special mix for a new driveway in St Heliers Auckland recently. Utilising white pebbles from the South Island, silica sand, together with Aalborg white cement and white pigment from Peter Fell the result is sensational.

No mix is complete without a good contractor and Craig Sutton from Rock Solid Concrete Limited was a key player in ensuring a great result. Craig put a light exposed finish on the surface which you can see in the gallery above. The white concrete was an unreinforced 75mm overlay on top of a 125mm layer of 25 MPa standard concrete with 665 mesh. The two slabs were epoxy wet-on-wet bonded together.

The client is absolutely rapt. The finished result works very well with the stone kerb and channel work done by Auckland Stonemasons.
