The PeterFell Texture Safe System allows you to create a safer, non-slip concrete surface for virtually any environment, from residential pool surrounds to public spaces with high foot traffic.
Texture Safe isn’t an applied anti-slip application – it’s a permanent texture created to the concrete’s surface.
A process called Bush Hammering utilising specialised tooling from PeterFell is used to texture the concrete surface. This creates an even non-slip texture and enhances the concretes appearance. Because it’s an integral part of the concrete, the texture will last, ensuring your surface remains safe and slip-free for generations.
The durability of the System is enhanced by applying our C2 densifier that penetrates deep into the pores of the concrete. This makes the concrete surface even harder, which in turn helps retain the texture profile.
The PeterFell Texture Safe System offers a range of slip resistant options. All of these meet the AS/NZS 3661.1 1993 “Slip resistance of pedestrian surfaces” standards.

If you’re using The PeterFell Texture Safe System on a new concrete floor, you can also include one of our colour oxides. With over 80 colours to choose from, there’s plenty of scope to create a look that is distinctly your own.

There are three texture options in the PeterFell Texture Safe System, created with the appropriate Abujardar tooling.
Fine texture
PeterFell Texture Safe Fine (PFTSF)

PeterFell Texture Safe Coarse (PFTSC)
Protection.
There are three types of protective finishes that can be applied in the PeterFell Texture Safe System. The Natural finish can be applied to all texture options. In this finish, the surface is first treated with our lithium silicate densifier (C2 Hard), increasing surface hardness and durability. The penetrating sealer PFL Texture Seal Natural is then applied, protecting the surface from ingression of dirt and soil without altering the surface texture or appearance. The other two finishes enhance the offer a hard wearing surface protection with an enhanced ‘wet-look’ finish. The textured surface, with the exception of the fine texture (PFTSF), is treated with either PFL Texture Seal Gloss for a gloss finish, or PFL Texture Seal Matt for a matt finish. These two sealers offer excellent protection form staining and marking, making the textured surface easy to clean and maintain.
Note: PFL Texture Seal NATURAL Sealer is the only protection that can be used on fine surfaces textured with PeterFell Texture Safe (PFTSF) finishes. PFL Texture Seal GLOSS and PFL Texture Seal MATT reduce the slip-resistance on the fine texture only and subsequently cannot be applied.
Natural finish
PFL Texture Seal NATURAL is applied, providing non-coating protection against soil and dirt ingression while retaining a natural finish.
Wet-look gloss finish
PFL Texture Seal GLOSS is applied, providing a hard-wearing trafficable barrier that enhances the surface with a wet-look finish.
Wet-look matt finish
PFL Texture Seal MATT is applied, providing a hard-wearing trafficable barrier that has enhances the surface with a wet-look finish that contains a matting agent to reduce glare.
